Cadyn Grenier of Bishop Gorman HS
Bend Elks infielder Cadyn Grenier of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada torched WCL pitching this past week going 13-for-23 with 3 doubles, a home run, 10 runs scored and 6 RBIs to earn West Coast League Player of the Week honors for June 15-21.
The Oregon State frosh-to-be was selected in the 21st round of the 2015 MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Grenier has led Bend to the league's top mark with a 12-3 record.
The Elks offense leads the league in runs scored with 135 and home runs with 11. The nearest WCL team in runs is Yakima Valley with 88.
Bend blasted six home runs in its most recent series at Corvallis, and swept the Knights while scoring 32 runs. It was the first time that Corvallis had ever been swept at Goss Stadium.
Cadyn was selected by USA Today as Nevada's 2015 High School Player of the Year.
