The West Coast League's Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by league commissioner Rob Neyer, are Seminole State College sophomore-to-be first baseman Dan Pruitt of the Kelowna Falcons and University of San Francisco senior-to-be pitcher Landen Bourassa of the Corvallis Knights for the week of August 6-12.

Pruitt slugged the Falcons to the playoffs, going 12-for-22 for the week with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. In the WCL North Divisional Series, Pruitt went 5-for-8 with two homers versus a very formidable pitching staff in the Bellingham Bells. Last night, Pruitt doubled, homered and knocked in 3 in the Falcons decisive 7-6 victory at Bellingham, advancing Kelowna to the West Coast League Championship Series for the first time since 2015.

For the summer, Pruitt, a 2018 WCL all-star, hit .331 with 7 homers and 26 RBIs.

Landen Bourassa, who posted a league-low 1.96 ERA this season, turned in another stellar performance holding the powerful Portland Pickles to only one run over 8 innings in his game two WCL South Divisional Series start, which the two-time defending WCL champion Knights won 4-1 in 11 innings to advance to the WCLCS where they will meet Kelowna. Bourassa, who started the 2018 WCL All-Star Game for the South, gave up only 4 hits and walked none while striking out 8 at Walker Stadium.

For the regular season, the right-hander from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada went 5-1 over 8 appearances, 7 starts and 46 innings pitched this summer. The Knights ace struck out 39 while walking only 9.

This past spring, Bourassa made 14 starts and went 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA for the Dons of the West Coast Conference.
