With the selection of 20 players on Monday, 22 WCL alumni have now been taken in the first 10 rounds of this year’s MLB Draft.
Five of the first 95 selections of this year’s MLB Draft were former WCL players, including the No. 1 overall pick Travis Bazzana.
In seven of the last eight years, a player with WCL experience has been taken in the first round, including two No. 1 overall picks, Bazzana and Adley Rutschman (2019).
