A native of the Pacific Northwest, Chris King has been with the West Coast League since January 2016. King is no stranger to the WCL, having previously worked with the Wenatchee AppleSox as the team’s director of communications and radio broadcaster.
He is the “Voice of the Vandals” serving as the football and men’s basketball play-by-play broadcaster for the University of Idaho. For his work with the Vandals he has twice been honored as the Idaho Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (2017 and 2023). He also was the radio broadcaster for the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League from 2012-2021 and still continues to fill-in announcing Minor League Baseball.
