The Kelowna Falcons clinched the WCL North first half last night with a 5-3 road win at Yakima Valley. The Falcons finished the first half with a 17-10 record and own the tie-breaker advantage over both Bellingham and Wenatchee, two North teams with 10 losses and remaining games in the first half.

By clinching, the Falcons join the Corvallis Knights in the 2017 posteason as both first-half champions earn playoff spots and will match-up with second-half winners in best-of-three Divisional Series, which open up Tuesday, August 8.

Kelowna’s last appearance in the postseason was 2015 where they advanced to the WCL Championship Series versus the Bend Elks.
