PORTLAND, Ore. – Monday morning, West Coast League Commissioner Rob Neyer announced the WCL’s 2026 MVP and Pitcher of the Year, as selected by the League’s head coaches.

Outfielder Ethan Reynolds (Western Kentucky) garners MVP laurels after setting WCL records for doubles (29) and extra-base hits (36) and leading the Nanaimo NightOwls to the first postseason appearance in team history.

Reynolds led the WCL with 53 RBI, fourth most in League history, and set team records for batting average (.350), hits (72), slugging percentage (.583) and OPS (1.017). He is the first NightOwl, who opened WCL play in 2022, to be named MVP.

Right-hander Jeremiah Arnett (Rice) is Pitcher of the Year, joining Jack Owen (2017) as the only Victoria HarbourCats to win the award. Arnett paced the WCL with a Victoria-record 66 strikeouts and was 5-2 with a 2.15 ERA.

“Ethan Reynolds put together one of the great offensive seasons in WCL history, and did in the heat of a pennant race,” said Neyer. “Jeremiah Arnett was every bit as dominant on the mound, and it’s fitting he joins Jack Owen in Victoria’s history books. Both of these players represent exactly what makes summer collegiate baseball special.”
