In 2026, West Coast League alumni (33 players) appeared in at least one game for nine of the 12 MLB postseason clubs.

The Wenatchee AppleSox, 2026 WCL champions, had a player each summer from 2014-17who’s now in the MLB postseason.
For the second straight year, former Corvallis Knight Matthew Boyd takes the mound in Game 1 of the postseason for the Chicago Cubs.

The Cleveland Guardians, San Diego Padres, and Tampa Bay Rays each have five alumni in the postseason.

About the West Coast League
The West Coast League is North America’s premier summer collegiate baseball league, completed its 21st season in 2026. Sixteen teams span the region from Oregon to Alberta, giving top amateur athletes a grand stage for competition, development, and connection with the communities they represent, in the finest summer baseball weather on the continent. In each of the last three seasons, a WCL alumnus has been selected in the top five of the MLB Draft, and 10 players have come off the board in the first 10 picks over the last decade.
