Kyle Manzardo Picked to Play in MLB Futures Game

Former Portland Pickle Kyle Manzardo has been selected to play in the 2023 Futures Game in Seattle during this year’s MLB All Star Weekend. The Tampa Bay Rays minor league standout will be headed back to the Pacific Northwest to showcase his talents in this year’s Futures Game.

The current Durham Bulls (AAA) superstar is getting hot at the right time with a .245 AVG, 10 home runs and 34 RBIs, and his nomination to the Futures Game is just one step closer to his MLB debut. The WSU product joined the Pickles squad for the 2019 season where he slashed .302/.406/.477 and was a major contributor on both sides of the ball. Manzardo was a 2021 second round (63rd overall) pick for the Tampa Bay Rays.

The SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game is set to take place at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, WA on Saturday, July 8th at 4:00 PM local time.
