The lineup of 2014 West Coast League All-Star Game Home Run Derby sluggers was released this afternoon by league president Dennis Koho. Four of the most prolific home run hitters in the WCL top the list of entrants including league-leader Gabe Clark of Victoria, who has blasted six roundrippers; and Joe Duffin of Corvallis, Vince Fernandez of Yakima Valley and Danny Miller of Bellingham, who are tied for second in the league in homers with 5 each.
Clark, Fernandez and Miller were also North all-star selections. Clark is a sophomore-to-be at Oregon State and is hitting .341 for the HarbourCats; Fernandez is a sophomore-to-be at UC Riverside and leads the league in hitting with a .387 batting average; and Miller is senior-to-be at Chico State and is batting a lofty .339 for the West Division-leading Bells.

The WCL ASG Home Run Derby starts at 5:10 pm at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls. The All-Star Game’s first pitch is set for 6:35 pm on Monday, July 21.
