WCL sets new attendance record

For the fifth consecutive season, the WCL significantly grew its fan base. 2009 attendance numbers set new benchmarks as league total attendance increased by 17%.

League attendance eclipsed 150,000 for the first time, with each WCL team, with the exception of Spokane, increasing their total attendance for league games. Corvallis had the largest increase, up 78% in total league attendance over 2008.

Wenatchee led the WCL in league total attendance and league average. Corvallis drew the largest single-game crowd of the season while Bend recorded the highest overall attendance by drawing 44,465 at Vince Genna Stadium in 2009.
