Four Teams Advance to Saturday’s Divisional Championship Games

The matchups are now locked in for the Divisional Championship showdowns, with the two games set for Saturday night. Now that the best-of-three divisional playoffs are wrapped up, both the division and league championships will consist of just one game.

In the South, the Portland Pickles will clash with the Corvallis Knights, who finished the regular season with the League’s best record (39-15) and have won six straight WCL championships. As a reward for the best overall record, Corvallis owns home-field advantage as long as they remain in the playoffs.

Portland swept the Ridgefield Raptors to advance, while Corvallis bounced back with two must-win victories over the Cowlitz Black Bears after dropping the first game on the road.

Also Saturday night, the Victoria HarbourCats will host the Bellingham Bells in the North’s Championship Game after the two teams swept their opening round foes.

Both games on Saturday are scheduled to start at 6:35 PT, with the winners meeting in the West Coast League’s Championship Game, tentatively scheduled for Monday.
