WCL Set for Upcoming NWBCA Convention

This weekend in Portland, Oregon, baseball enthusiasts and industry leaders will converge for the annual Northwest Baseball Coaches Association Convention. With a robust West Coast League presence, the convention promises an engaging lineup of speakers, interactive demonstrations, and breakout sessions, making this a must-attend event for baseball coaches and enthusiasts alike.

As usual, this year’s convention features distinguished speakers from around the baseball world, including Tanner Swanson, quality control coach for the New York Yankees; Kyle Boddy, founder of Driveline; and Donegal Fergus, head coach of Loyola Marymount; and Ryan Wright, Toronto Blue Jays minor league hitting coach. Attendees can look forward to gaining insights as these experts and others headline thought-provoking presentations and interactive sessions.

Among the highlights of the convention is Saturday’s Walk of Champions luncheon, sponsored by the West Coast League. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to connect with industry professionals and fellow enthusiasts during this networking event. The festivities continue into the evening with a dinner social, where the WCL will present its prestigious Grass Roots Award. Inaugurated in 2022, the Award’s previous recipients have been Jerry Smoot of the Bellingham area and the Seattle Mariners’ Nova Newcomer.

Throughout the weekend, the West Coast League will have a dedicated booth, providing attendees with the chance to engage with league representatives and learn about exciting developments within the league.
